We complete detailed planning and carry out sequencing in a safe and efficient way, determined by the structure's composition. We operate with state-of-the-art, modern equipment and machinery, providing a professional, reliable and value for money dismantling solution regardless of the size and nature of the structure we are dismantling.

Steel Structures

We have undertaken the dismantling of a wide range of complex steel structures from bridges, cranes and fire training towers to stairways and fire escapes on a standalone basis or as part of wider projects.

We have a highly trained team that specialises in steel dismantling and the use of oxy-fuel cutting.

Our Completed Projects

Agora Centre, Buckinghamshire

The development will deliver 86 new homes for rent (31% of these being affordable housing), commercial premises, an energy microgrid generating over 60% of the scheme’s energy requirements, pedestrian zones, park areas and a sustainable mobility hub.

Ashdown House, Hastings, East Sussex

GDL were appointed Principal Contractor and worked collaboratively with the Client, their Design Team and Consultants to ensure the project was planned meticulously and with all due consideration for local sensitive receptors and surrounding communities and stakeholders.

Len House, Maidstone, Kent

Goody Demolition were contracted to carry out the early phase demolition and enabling works for the Project, to facilitate the renovation and regeneration of the building.

Newtown Works, Ashford, Kent

GDL have been working on site for several years now throughout the various phases of the project. The nature of each phase has required us to provide varied services to the Client, from site clearance, remediation, investigation, protection and demolition.

Peel Estate, Kilburn, London

GDL have assisted Countryside at various stages of the multi-phase development in Kilburn, having completed demolition works to the community centre and smaller ancillary buildings to the main estate in recent years.

Yellow Car Park, Wembley, London

The former Yellow Car Park site will be the location for Union Park, the first major park to open in the area for 150 years. The seven-acre park will feature a bandstand, children’s play areas, sports zones and a relaxing urban meadow, creating physical and mental health benefits.

Target House, Ealing

The Sherwood Close Estate, also known as Dean Gardens, is in West Ealing, London, in the Walpole ward. The estate was built in the 1970s and consisted of 209 homes. A 2008 Estates review revealed that Sherwood Close needed significant upgrades to meet the government's Decent Homes standard.

Simon Langton Girls Grammar School

Kier Construction were seeking to appoint a competent demolition contractor to demolish the redundant school buildings following the construction of the modern updated teaching block and sports hall. Goody Demolition were employed as a specialist subcontractor to work on the site, under the auspices of Kier acting as Principal Contractor, to dismantle the old structures and leave the site flat and secure.

Wye College

Proposed by developer Telereal Trillium, the housing scheme at the former Wye College campus will consist of 38 new homes, formed from the conversion of part of the campus through restoration and alterations. Telereal Trillium purchased the site from its former owners, Imperial College of London, in 2015 and have since secured planning permission for the housing development.

Surrey Care Homes

Surrey County Council recently (2023) embarked upon a mission to improve both the quality and quantity of Adult Social Care (ASC) provision across the County, developing and publishing a committed suite of strategies and plans to achieve this over the next 5-10 years. One of their key ambitions was to work with selected development and design partners to deliver modern, technology enabled homes and accommodation models with the right care and support to enable people to live as independently as possible.
